Maple Barbecue Spareribs

3 lb spareribs

1 cup maple syrup

1 tbsp chili sauce

1 tbsp vinegar

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 small onion, finely chopped

1/2 tbsp salt

1/4 tsp dry mustard

1/8 tsp pepper


Roast strips of ribs on a rack at 425 degrees for 30 minutes. Drain fat from pan. Cut ribs into serving size pieces. Place in bottom of a 9″ X 13″ pan.

Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan and boil for 5 minutes. Pour over ribs in pan and bake, uncovered, at 375 degrees for 1 hour, basting occasionally.

To serve, skim fat off remaining sauce, and serve with the ribs.
